Understand how it works

SIP Caller connects to your own Phone System

SIP Caller is a cloud based phone dialer that leverages the telephone capabilities of your existing Phone System. It connects to your Phone System, which can be on-premise or hosted in the cloud, as a remote extension using the open standard SIP and RTP protocols.

Once connected as a remote extension, SIP Caller will initiate calls through your Phone System, and your customers will see your own number as the caller. If they call you back in case of a missed call, they will reach you directly.

SIP Caller connects to your Phone System from servers distributed around the globe. Connecting from a closer location results in the following benefits:

Developed with security in mind

SIP Caller supports connecting to the Phone System through Secure SIP, which protects SIP messages by encrypting them over a TLS (Transport Layer Security) channel using a security certificate. This way, the messages sent and received between SIP Caller and your Phone System can’t be read by third parties.

In addition, SIP Caller will use SRTP (Secure RTP) to encrypt the conversation audio when the Phone System enables this functionality.

Login with Google or Microsoft SSO (Single Sign-On) for increased security, enabling 2 Factor Authentication and all the security mechanisms provided by those vendors.
